From the Principal

Welcome to Don D. Steed Elementary School where Racers Achieve a College Education. Our focus is on EVERY CHILD making academic growth each year. Our framework is rooted in differentiated instruction to help our diverse learners grow. We believe that the academic growth of each child is the true measure of our success.

We will only achieve our goal of growth for each child if we take full advantage of EVERY DAY and make the most of our instructional time. To that end our procedures and schedules will be designed to protect the integrity of the instructional day, minimize distractions for students, and provide our staff with adequate time to plan and prepare for their work with students.

In order to allow our students to grow we must provide an environment that supports our students and their families in EVERY WAY. Our school and community must be welcoming to all students and supportive to all families as we work together to ensure our students' success.

We are proud to say that Don Steed is a place that is committed to serving the needs of EVERY CHILD, EVERY DAY, and in EVERY WAY.
